Three days through the old heart of Daegu, built around the city's own dishes - jjimgalbi, grilled pork bone, beef tendon stew - the street-food lanes of Dongseongno, a traditional night market, and quiet, traditionally styled cafes between meals.
About this trip
Detailed information and travel tips
Daegu is a food city before it is a sightseeing city, and this three-day route treats it that way. It stays inside the compact old centre around Dongseongno and Jung-gu, with two short trips out - to the riverside park at Dongchon and to a traditional market in Nam-gu - so the walking stays reasonable and the meals stay the point.
Most of this itinerary sits within walking distance of Banwoldang and Jungangno stations on the Daegu subway. The Dongchon riverside on Day 2 and the Suseong-gu dinner on Day 3 are both reachable by subway or a short taxi ride. A T-money card works on Daegu buses and subway lines and is the simplest way to pay.
